STEM专业是申请美国的时候的大热门，因为从这类专业毕业的学生，可以获得2年的OPT延期，找到好工作的机会也比普通专业高出不少。7月12日，美国STEM专业新增加8个领域，赶紧看看你能不能申请吧！
美国STEM专业介绍
OPT全称是Optional Practical Training，是指留学生在毕业后继续以F1学生签证身份在美国带薪实习，一般被认为是留学生在拿到H1B工作签证之前的过渡性签证。在STEM专业范围获得学士、硕士、博士学位的F-1学生可在美国停留最多3年，并在他们的研究领域工作。
美国很多大学也会给各类专业申请STEM资格从而获得OPT延期资格，借此吸引国际人才。
商科类的金融工程、管理信息系统、数理金融等都属于STEM范畴，还有USC商学院本科专业全部获STEM认证，罗切斯特大学西蒙商学院的商业分析、市场分析、金融、会计也均获得STEM认证。
再比如人文社科领域的 传媒类专业，波士顿大学传播学院MS in Media Ventures 和 MA in Emerging Media，纽约大学MA in Media，Culture and Communication等均属于STEM范畴。
美国STEM专业新增领域
今年这次又有8个新的研究领域被纳入STEM，在这些领域学习的学生可以获得36个月的OPT期限，是对于留学生而言的大利好，分别为：

但注意！具体能否拿到资格，还得看你就读的美国大学是否提交了相应材料给政府，将该专业申请为STEM。
